Jeff Weller

Jeff Weller brings over 25 years of institutional and commercial real estate experience to BPG, with a career spanning across brokerage, principal investing, and executive leadership. He is the Co-Founder of Lion Real Estate Group, which he launched alongside Mory Barak in 2007 and has been directly involved in the acquisition, capitalization, and oversight of its multifamily portfolio throughout several market cycles. Lion currently owns and operates approximately 7,000 units across the Sun Belt through a series of closed-end Funds and separate purpose vehicles (“SPVs”), in conjunction with 500+ investors. It’s most recent investment vehicle (LREG Multifamily Fund III, LP) is deploying throughout 2026 as it ramps up to launch Fund IV. Historically the firm has transacted on over $2.8 billion or 15,000 multifamily units since its inception.

Jeff began his career at CBRE and Cushman & Wakefield, where he advised tenants, investors, and landlords on complex commercial real estate transactions. This foundation provided him with a broad, market-facing perspective that continues to help navigate his strategic guidance and capital markets insight today.

In addition, Jeff served as Co-Chief Executive Officer of EPMI and Bayside Communities, an owner-operator platform that owned 3,097 units and managed an additional 3,500 units across West Coast markets. In this role, he was responsible for portfolio strategy, operational oversight, company leadership, and long-term value creation.

As a Board Member of BPG, Jeff provides senior and entrepreneurial perspective on portfolio strategy, risk management, operational scale, organizational growth, and capital formation with both private and institutional investors. He also serves on the board of the Folsom Institute and is a graduate of Southern Methodist University.
